Summer Is Over. Time To Get Back To The Grind

I hope everyone had a great summer!

Summer

This summer I decided to put all my financial goals on hold just to enjoy the time that I had to spend with the family. This doesn’t mean that I went crazy and bought stuff just because I could, it was more about taking time off work and not really looking at the market.

I was confident enough that the stocks I owned would not go anywhere, rather they would keep chugging along paying me ever increasing dividends regardless of my effort or attention.

Looking at my portfolio, I broke many records – I will have 3 updates going over it soon. But for today, I’m just getting settled back into the swing of things so I decided I would do a post of some of my summer.

Heres Some Pictures of Summer

Softball is over. We won districts and placed 5th in provincials!

Our cabin we rented for 10 days at the Beachwood campground.

Karaoke party 🙂

Looking for shells at Birch Bay Washington. It’s smokey in the background due to the INSANE wildfires in B.C. this summer.

Just chillin at the adults only pool.

Selfie at Summerland. Okanagan lake camping.

Out tubing till dusk.

Going for a ride at Gabriola Island.

Just swinging around.

At the Grandparents house, hanging out at the treehouse grandpa built. (It’s scary up there)

Taking the B.C. ferries over to Nanaimo. Kids are growing so fast!

Daughter and I broke the record for most 50/50 tickets sold at Jean Andre tournament (Lacrosse).
Who could say no to her!

Birthday party at lake. 10 years old.
Another day, another beach

Training with my son for next year’s lacrosse season.

Learning about honey bees at the PNE.

Playland theme park. Kids are in line for a crazy 220 foot swing ride. Notice – I’m not in line with them 🙂

I have one last trip I’m going on for the August long weekend before the kids head back to school.

I plan to start grinding it out hard starting the next week with many new plans for 2018!

    1. Jay, I needed a break to be honest.

It felt so nice to sit back and not think about anything financial and just focus on having a great time with my family. I still worked during the summer but not the normal crazy amount that I’ve grown accustomed to.

I plan to take the whole next summer off!
